How to get to Mendoza

From Buenos Aires

National Route 7 – Destination: Mendoza City

You must take the West Access in the vicinity of General Paz Avenue and in the direction of the city of Luján. The Access will later become National Route 7, which will lead you to Mendoza City after a journey of 1,050 kilometers.

National Route 7 – Destination: South Region

Following National Route 7, you must then take National Route 188, which crosses in the vicinity of Junín, in the province of Buenos Aires. This road will lead you to the city of General Alvear, from where you can have access to the cities of San Rafael and Malargüe, excellent destinations where to enjoy the most beautiful places of Mendoza.

From the South

National Route 151 - National Route 143

From the city of Neuquén, you must take National Route 151 until Santa Isabel, in the province of La Pampa. Here you must take National Route 143 until the city of General Alvear, thus entering the South Region of the province of Mendoza.

From the North

National Route 40

From San Juan, you must take National Route 40, which goes through the department of Lavalle and which will lead you to Mendoza City.

From Chile

National Route 7 – South Access

From the city of Los Andes, in Chile, you must take Route 60 in the east direction and this will lead you to the Horcones Frontier Complex. You must be careful in a sector of the road known as “caracoles” (snails), as it is a prominent ascent with closed curves. Do not forget to take your personal identification documents as they will be required when entering Argentina through the frontier path. It is important to know that, if you travel by car, you will have to get an Insurance of International Civil Responsibility (it is recommended to do so in Santiago or in Los Andes, in Chile). Once you have crossed the frontier, you must take National Route 7, which goes through the beautiful localities of Uspallata and Potrerillos, until you reach the South Access. Take this Access in the north direction, and in 20 minutes you will get to Mendoza City.
